Taiwanese F-16 jet crashes, prompts search for pilot

(MENAFN) A Taiwanese F-16 fighter jet went down off the island’s eastern coast on Tuesday evening, triggering a search and rescue operation for the pilot, according to reports.

The Air Force stated that the aircraft was conducting a routine training mission when the incident occurred. The pilot, identified as Capt. Hsin, is believed to have successfully ejected in Hualien County, as stated by reports.
